FloRacing To Host CARS Tour Throwback 276 Best Appearing Car Contest

The annual Throwback 276 at Hickory Motor Speedway is one of the biggest and most anticipated events on the CARS Tour calendar each year. This year’s event just continues to get bigger for the race teams and fans alike.

FloRacing and the CARS Tour have announced that the fan vote for this year’s best appearing car at the annual Throwback 276 event on July 29 will be hosted by FloRacing with the winner receiving a $500 prize from FloRacing. That is on top of the already announced full body package that will be given to the winner courtesy of Five Star Race Car Bodies.

“Throwback weekend always seems to bring everyone together. FloRacing values the fans and their experience the way we do,” said CARS Tour Director of Operations, Keeley Dubensky. “Our partnership with them is flourishing by the day. I can’t thank them enough for adding an extra layer of excitement for the fans and competitors.”

In June, the CARS Tour announced that the theme for the sixth edition of the Throwback 276 would be paying tribute to the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, which laid the foundation from which the CARS Tour rose. The race teams were asked to pick paint schemes from throughout the history of the Hooters Pro Cup Series, which existed from 1997 until 2014 when it was reorganized into the CARS Tour.

“As soon as the details were announced for this year’s Throwback 276, we knew we wanted to to become more involved with the event,” said FloRacing Senior Editor, Brandon Paul. “With the throwback schemes playing such an important role in the event, it seemed like a perfect fit to partner with the CARS Tour to increase fan engagement and recognize the efforts put forth by the teams.”

Teams from both the Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model divisions are eligible to win the award as long as their scheme is a Hooters Pro Cup Series throwback, according to CARS Tour officials.

A full photo gallery of the eligible cars will be posted on FloRacing.com and the FloRacing Facebook page.

Voting will take place on FloRacing.com and will be open throughout the weekend, starting on Friday evening following practice, and ending on Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. ET. The winner will be announced on Monday, July 31.
