Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour Event Preview HarrisonsWorkwear.com 225 – September 11, 2021 at Tri County Motor Speedway – Hudson, NC

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 7, 2021) – For the first time since the 2018 season opener, the CARS Tour returns to Tri-County Motor Speedway, located in the foothills of the North Carolina mountains in Hudson, North Carolina. Unlike the previous event, this year’s running of the HarrisonsWorkwear.com 225 will feature both Late Model Stocks and Super Late Models. The last time both divisions visited the 4/10th mile track together was the 2017 season. Since that time, the facility has been renovated. Drivers were use to a rough and dilapidated racing surface that produced three grooves of racing all event long. That is still the case for 70% of the facility, but necessary repaving was done in turns three and four making for a completely different track then the series last visit. With that said, Tri-County should open the doors for each and every driver in attendance to score a victory, not providing an advantage to a single competitor in the field.   704.662.7700

QUICK HITS

The Combo with Southern Super Series Returns

April in Greenville and May in Nashville are a distant memory in the 2021 season, but those events were the last time both the Southern Super Series and the CARS Tour competed in combination events. This weekend at Tri-County the two series will once again co-sanction the HarrisonsWorkwear.com 225 making for a big Super Late Model event. In both events, Carson Kvapil dominated the races and is coming off a victory at Motor Mile on August 28th, the CARS Tour most recent event. Once again Kvapil is considered the favorite based on his most recent win and his previous victories in the 2021 season.

Fresh Faces All Around

This weekend’s running of the HarrisonsWorkwear.com 225 will see plenty of fresh and new faces in both divisions set to do battle with one another to take home the top prize. The Super Late Model divisions’ drivers such as Hunter Robbins and Daniel Dye will be making an appearance due to the co-sanctioned event with the Southern Super Series. Late Model Stocks drivers Isaac Blevin, Braden Rogers, Jacob Heafner, and Dillon Houser will be on hand to compete for the first time this season. Both divisions will boast stout fields with multiple drivers visiting Tri-County for the first time in CARS Tour/Southern Super Series competition.

Harrison’s Hardest Working Supporter

Harrison’s Workwear has long been a supporter of short track racing in the south via various competitors, race tracks, and series. This season HarrisonsWorkwear.com became an annual series sponsor and has awarded team’s all season long in both divisions that exhibits hard work off the track, to make it on the track. In addition, Harrison’s has awarded the hardest working fan to attend each event, whether it be through long distance of travel or working hard to make the event in person. Just like Greenville-Pickens, HarrisonsWorkwear.com will be the title sponsor of the event and celebrate opening two stores within close location of Tri-County Motor Speedway. Harrison’s store front is located right in Hudson, North Carolina just 5 miles from the track, and the brand-new Mooresville store location is just 30 minutes away in the home location of the CARS Tour. Teams and fans alike are encouraged to support companies like Harrison’s, who work hard to support the sport we love.
