Sam Yarbrough Takes Nod to Honor Car Owner Robert Elliott in CARS Tour Throwback 276 at Hickory

Mooresville, NC 7/8/21 – South Carolina CARS Tour veteran, Sam Yarbrough didn’t have to look very far to find inspiration for his throwback scheme for the 3rd Annual Honeywell Home “Throwback 276” presented by Baker Distributing on July 31st at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Yarbrough will honor his very own car owner, Robert Elliott with same scheme he scored multiple wins and a track championship with in his home state of South Carolina during the 1995 Late Mode Stock Car season.

Yarbrough, who in his first full season with the CARS Tour, will be participating in his first Throwback 276 weekend.

His livery reflects his car owner’s 1995 season behind the wheel of his #95 Late Model Stock Car that mainly competed at Florence Motor Speedway and the now defunct Myrtle Beach Speedway in South Carolina.

During the ’95 season, Elliott competed in 41 different races scoring 13 wins and 9 runner-up finishes. Elliott’s winning season continued with being crowned the 1995 Florence Motor Speedway track champion at season’s end, and also scoring the victory in the Late Model Stock Car portion of the Myrtle Beach 400 that season.

Tickets for the 3rd Annual Baker Distributing “Throwback 276” presented by Honeywell Homes are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate on sale via the CARS Tour website at www.carsracingtour.com.
