Dylon Wilson to join TwoBoros Performance in full-time 2023 CARS Tour Competition

The newly formed TwoBoros Performance Shop’s journey begins in 2023. TPS (TwoBoros Performance Shop) believes in locals and tradition which is the reason team owner Seth Cohn chose drivers Dylon Wilson and Tyler Gregory to represent TPS on its maiden voyage.

What started as a mission for nostalgia in competing in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, has now transitioned into a Cinderella story of its own. Dylon Wilson of Wilkes County had intentions of competing in this event to bring back core memories for himself and his family. After a three-year hiatus from Late Model competition, he found himself looking for opportunities to race full-time again.

Wilson and Gregory are not only teammates but also first cousins and grandsons of Wilkes County NASCAR touring legend Dean Combs. Both cousins grew up just a couple hundred yards away from the North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Beginning in 2023, Dylon Wilson will compete in a full-time sixteen race CARS Late Model Stock Tour schedule for the first time in his career. All the while Tyler Gregory will run a full schedule of his own in select CARS Tour events and Weekly Series races.

A dream came true, and not only for Wilson but thousands of people got a chance to experience what can only be described as pure euphoria at the 2022 Racetrack Revival CARS Tour event. Wilson added he and Team Owner Seth Cohn did not want the run of success and good times to end. The team will carry that momentum forward to 2023 competition.

Wilson stated “When you grow up about 300 yards from the racetrack and spend all your summers riding bicycles around the abandoned ghost track watching it fall apart year after year, it becomes a bit of a pipe dream. However there it was, right there on a cell phone screen, the ability to enter to drive in a late model race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.” The same speedway that his Great Grandfather Jack Combs played a crucial role in building, the same track his great uncle Charlie Combs designed.

TwoBoros Performance Shop will make its debut as a full-time CARS Tour team in 2023 with Wilson included in the driver lineup with the goal of helping grow the TPS team into a multiple full-time CARS Tour operation. This is the first time Wilson will have the opportunity to run a full schedule. His unique marketing strategy and personality have made this racing dream come true. Vlogs, podcasts, social media, and an extremely bright racecar are some of the tools Wilson will continue to use to make himself stand out from the crowd.

Located in downtown Wilkesboro, TwoBoros Brewery & Dooleys Tavern were first introduced as partners to Wilson and Gregory respectively for the 2022 Racetrack Revival at the world-famous North Wilkesboro Speedway. The success of both drivers instilled a dream of taking the whole operation to the next level as they intend to compete for 2023 wins with their loyal partners. For more information on the CARS Late Model Stock Tour and the CARS Pro Late Model Tour, visit www.carsracingtour.com.
