Mooresville, NC 7/26/21 – Veteran Craig Moore will bring back to life the colors of Virginia Busch Series and Late Model Stock Car racer, Wayne Patterson in the 4th Annual Honeywell Home Throwback 276 presented by Baker Distributing at Hickory Motor Speedway this Saturday night.
Moore will run the same scheme that Patterson competed with in both the Busch Series and Late Model Stock Cars in 1987-1990. Patterson made 16 Busch Series starts during the time period with the paint scheme. All those starts came at the same Virginia and North Carolina short tracks that he competed at with his Late Model Stock that looked identical in imagery.
Patterson was a multi-time Late Model Stock Car winner at Southside Speedway, South Boston Speedway, and Orange County Speedway. He also claimed the 1987 track championship at South Boston Speedway sporting the same scheme Moore will showcase Saturday night.
As part of the festivities Moore will host Patterson’s wife and kids at the event to see the scheme their husband and father had such great success with in the world of short track racing.
